Lucy started dancing at the age of 3. At age 6 she started her part time training at the Waterfront Theatre School. She went on to achieve her advanced levels in both Tap and Modern dancing, graduating with both her ISTD dance teachers and her ATCL in Musical theatre as well as her perfromers in Drama.

 

During her 4 years of full time training, Lucy performed in HAIRSPRAY playing the role of TAMMY, A CHORUSLINE, playing the role of CHRISTENE , FOOTLOOSE playing the role of URLEEN and DAPHNE in Noel Cowards PRESENT LAUGHTER. Not only was she a performer but a teacher and Choreographer for various Dance Shows performed by The Waterfront `Theatre Company. As a freelance artist, she took part in Corprate functions for: CARTOON NETWORK ROADSHOW (Bananas In Pajamas, The Fimbles, CeeBeeBees and Takalani Sesame) ELIZABETH ARDEN (RedDoor perfume launch-Dancer) VERBSA christmas corporate and SAMSUNGS5 launch.

 

After Graduating, she went on to join The South African International Touring Cast of THE SOUND OF MUSIC, where she chaperoned the ‘Von Trapp Family Children’ both nationally and internationally. After her first year of tour, she then went on to be cast in the Ensemble and Understudy sister Sophia.

 

Apart from studying and taking on her first professional touring show, Lucy has attended Musical Theatre Workshop for the past 5 years. what started out as being a ‘Senior Participant’ soon after turned into becoming an assistant to both our Minis and Junior groups.
